I just moved out of Redpoint this July and had lived here since August 2021. Over the last three years I have had a wonderful experience with the staff in the office, maintenance, and both managers. Over these years I have seen so many people scrutinizing Redpoint for various reasons, and I just wanted to say that based on my own experience it seems like many of those scrutinizers appear to be the problem. One main complaint I have seen is the damage charges. I understand that this is inconvenient to see after you are exhausted moving, however Redpoint made it VERY CLEAR as move out was approaching that the expectation when leaving is to "return the property in the condition you recieved it in." They also give you many reminders when moving in to document the condition of the room when you move in so that anything that they missed don't end up being charged to you. The managers are kind and if you talk to them AND listen to what they have to say, it is very clear that they don't want to charge people unjustly. They will even give you the paint colors, model of blinds, etc. so you can resolve your damages on your own without additional charges so long as you bring it up before move out. I know they were even offering walk throughs before move out to point out the things in the room that would result in a charge if not resolved before turning in your keys. Over the last three years I have lived in two different areas of the property, one in the back of the property and one in the front. I mention this because a major complaint in these reviews is that there are bugs infesting the units. When I lived at the back of the property, I did have some issues with bugs because the unit has woods behind it and it started to get cold (attracting the bugs into the warm unit). Upon bringing this up to the office they explained to me that I can request FREE pest control service by putting in a work order weekly. After a few weeks this was completely resolved. Finally, a huge complaint about Redpoint is the price. Unfortunately, Raleigh is one of the most expensive places to live in NC, and cost of living is only continuing the increase. I did at one point look elsewhere but I found that these were comparable prices to everything else in the NCSU student housing. Going any less expensive is where you run into office staff ghosting you, construction, and maintenance teams leaving units in inappropriate condtions (testimonies from other friends from college). Plus, Redpoint has amazing events, the best pool, and such an amazing neighborhood vibe... it truly feels like home away from home. MY BEST ADVICE TO THOSE CONSIDERING REDPOINT: Read. Your. Housing. Agreement... and ask questions about things you do not understand! That way you are not surprised by the things that people choose to complain about in these reviews, and will hopefully see how clear it is that they did not read theirs before signing. This is many people's first lease, but keep in mind that does not change that these are legally binding documents that you are signing and they have significant price tags on them.

From the wonderful welcome package to the state of the art amenities, redpoint is the best complex I’ve lived in. Although, the experience wouldn’t be complete without my considerable and lovely roommates. They make me feel comfortable and included.
