It was October of 2024 that I rode my Vstar over to Chicago Cycles to look around. The staff was friendly enough but did not at all crowd or pressure me. I was a bit leery after having read a couple of negative reviews where buyers wrote of the shop not standing behind their product and avoiding complaints. On the other hand, it was my neighbor (a fully patched Outlaw) who sent me there and another neighbor, who had bought a Softail, had given the place thumbs up. Anyway, I paid cash, paying less than I expected and even got the sales guy, Ed, to come down on list price to some extent. Then I wanted to wait a bit and see how everything went. So, I rode several times prior to the weather changing. On an unseasonably warm Jan day, while going for a ride and started having electrical issues. Not Good. Several things were either working intermittently or not at all. Since these folks are a long ride away, and the weather turned knarly, I took the bike to a local shop. They charged me $250, and the day after I got it back, the same problem began again. I took it back to the same local shop, and they spent an entire day NOT finding the issue. So, the shop towed it to Chicago Cycles and Chris went to work. He reported back that, although it took 6 hours, they had figured it out and it was ready. They towed the bike to my house, and all was done at no charge. So let me be clear, these are good and honorable people who stand behind what they sell. If you're going to buy a pre-owned Harley, and they got a ton of them, go to Chicago Cycles Motorsports. They are, from the owner, Patty, to Ed in sales and Chris in the shop, along with everyone else there, GREAT PEOPLE. 5 STARS!
